Andrew Pham, Pickleball Events Coordinator
andrewp@estc.org
Andrew is an enthusiastic pickleball player who first discovered the sport in 2016. He fell in love with it immediately and enjoyed the sport for its being physically demanding, strategically intriguing, emotionally fulfilling, and socially rewarding. Prior to pickleball, his main athletic training included practicing and competing in Chinese Martial Arts, which he pursued from childhood up until early college.
Within the community, he teaches pickleball as a certified instructor with the International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA), and he has recently volunteered his time to serve on pickleball tournament and league committees for the Emerald Valley Pickleball Club and CASA of Lane County. Additionally, he has been competing in pickleball tournaments since 2018, having traveled to tournaments in Oregon, California, Idaho, Arizona, Indiana, and South Carolina. He has won a number of medals throughout the years and competes at the 4.5 level.
Andrew is a professional musician, actively working as a piano teacher, local collaborative pianist, and traveling opera rehearsal pianist. Whenever Andrew goes to other cities and states for his musical career, he is bound to bring his paddle with him, intent on exploring pickleball in new areas and finding places to play pickleball in his downtime. Andrew enjoys bringing people together through pickleball and curating events that lead to uniquely fun experiences. He is glad to have the opportunity to serve ESTC in this capacity.
