Cory was born in Roseburg, Oregon and grew up playing tennis there starting at the age of 4. While in high school he worked as a teaching assistant during summer programs at his local club. After graduating, he worked as a full time assistant pro for 2 years before moving to Eugene.  He was a member at ESTC and competed in USTA sectionals for many years prior to his work with the club. Cory is a USPTA Certified Teaching Professional and began his teaching at ESTC in 2020. In addition to working on both the adult and junior programming, he also teaches private lessons and strings tennis rackets for ESTC.
